This significant launch will align World Mobile’s distinct communications-focused Layer 3 blockchain, World Mobile Chain (WMC), with Base’s Ethereum Layer 2 blockchain, utilizing Base as its settlement layer. A notable outcome of this initiative will be the integration of the Coinbase Smart Wallet within the World Mobile app, fostering a smooth onboarding experience for new on-chain users.

With this launch on Base, World Mobile aims to propel its mission of establishing one of the world’s most extensive Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks (DePIN). The recent introduction of the network’s ‘triple play’ services—covering cellular, broadband, and enhanced services—perfectly complements the activation on Base and EVM blockchains.
