According to The Irish Times, Techstars is set to launch a blockchain-centered incubator in Dublin starting March 2022.
This initiative aims to onboard ten companies each year that are focused on blockchain or tokenization, guiding them through a rigorous mentoring program designed to help bring their products or services to market. Originally, the incubator was intended for London, but various considerations led to the decision to establish it in Dublin, significantly benefiting the local cryptocurrency ecosystem.
The announcement features a quote from Techstars CEO, Maëlle Gavet, who stated, “The impressive growth of the Irish startup ecosystem over recent years, along with the enduring presence of major global tech companies in Ireland, positions Dublin as an appealing talent hub for Techstars. In 2022, we anticipate investing in over 100 companies across Europe, which will account for 20% of our total planned investments through our accelerator programs, further emphasizing our dedication to expanding in the region.”
This incubator is not exclusive to Irish companies and welcomes applications from businesses around the globe. The deadline for submissions is December 1, 2021, and you can apply at https://www.f6s.com/launchpool-web3-accelerator-2022/apply
