Tortola, British Virgin Islands, October 25th, 2024, Chainwire
Aark Digital has recently faced a security breach where an unauthorized entity accessed and withdrew roughly 1,386,085 USDC and 24.143 ETH. In response, the project has initiated round-the-clock recovery efforts and has also put in place enhanced security measures to prevent any further unauthorized activities.
In an effort to recover the funds, Aark Digital is offering a 15% bounty to the individual responsible, which is conditional upon the safe and complete return of the stolen assets. This bounty, totaling 225,000 USDC, is designed to motivate the return of the funds, with further details available on Arkham’s bounty platform here.
Should a full recovery not be achieved, Aark Digital has stated that it will outline a distribution plan to properly address the incident. The organization has stipulated a deadline of 26th October 2024, 15:00 UTC, for the responsible party to come forward, indicating it is ready to take legal action if the funds are not returned within this period.
Aark Digital is dedicated to keeping its community updated throughout this process, underscoring its commitment to transparency and user security.
Aark Digital will provide further updates on the situation as they arise.
