Binance has introduced the Telegram mini-game Moonbix, featuring an innovative tap-to-earn gameplay that emphasizes skill and timing.
With this game, the leading exchange by trading volume aims to rival tap-to-earn trailblazers such as Notcoin and Hamster Kombat. All these games provide distinct ways for players to earn money.
What to Know About Binance Moonbix Game
Launched on September 19, the crypto-themed Telegram Mini App marks Binance’s first step into the play-to-earn (P2E) landscape, showcasing its new interest in blockchain games.
“The game takes advantage of the rising popularity of Telegram mini-apps and caters to the growing demand for casual, crypto-themed gaming. In Moonbix, players embark on adventures as crypto space explorers, traversing a virtual galaxy to collect unique items, complete missions, and accumulate points,” Binance announced in a Telegram update.
While Moonbix aligns with the crypto rewards theme, it also draws on the distinctive concept of space exploration for a competitive edge. Here are five insights into Binance’s Telegram game.
Almost 15 Million Players in a Week
As reported by Moonbix’s Telegram, the game is approaching 15 million active users monthly—a remarkable feat for a game that’s only a week old. This highlights players’ enthusiasm for both fun and income opportunities.
Currently, Moonbix boasts 14.95 million players, with the user base nearly doubling since Monday, suggesting rapid growth is on the horizon. This trend indicates that it may soon outpace DOGS and Notcoin (NOT), which currently have 53 million and 35 million players, respectively.

Anticipation for Moonbix started even before its launch, as leaked images of Binance’s involvement in the Telegram mini app trend piqued interest.
“We acknowledge that our forthcoming TG mini-app game, Moonbix, was prematurely revealed prior to the launch. We’re excited by the community’s enthusiasm but are still refining the product to ensure an optimal user experience at the official launch,” Binance stated.
Vietnamese Players Top Moonbix Leaderboard
As reported by BeInCrypto, most of Moonbix’s “Hall of Fame” rankings are filled by Vietnamese players, who dominate the leaderboards.
However, scoring highly in Moonbix isn’t easy. Completing all in-game tasks awards about 11,500 points, making it tough to climb the leaderboard without additional assistance. Many players utilize the referral feature, granting 10,000 bonus points for inviting 10 new users.
To reach a top rank, players often have to invite between 100 to 300 people, which leads some to use external “tools” to increase their scores.
Many Players Are Using Tools to Cheat
The emergence of cheating tools in Moonbix is not unexpected, given the difficult nature of its tap-to-earn mechanics. Some participants have begun employing their own programs to automate gameplay across various accounts.
This tactic, however, risks being flagged for cheating. For example, Hamster Kombat (HMSTR), another game seeking a Binance listing, recently banned 2.3 million players for dishonest practices.
Common cheating methods also include acquiring bulk Telegram accounts to “farm” the game and purchasing referrals rather than acquiring them organically.
Ethiopia Leads Moonbix Searches on Google Trends
Data from Google Trends indicates that Ethiopia tops the world in searches related to Moonbix. The significant interest from this country has put it ahead of other nations, including Afghanistan, Myanmar, Maldives, and Pakistan.

Moonbix’s unique blend of space exploration and crypto incentives has garnered worldwide attention, providing players with an engaging and innovative way to earn through gaming. The game’s integration with Telegram, a popular messaging platform celebrated for its security and user-friendly design, has further stimulated this growing fascination.
Moonbix Helps Binance Attract New Users
Players interested in Moonbix must complete Know-Your-Customer (KYC) verification as stated in Binance’s terms and conditions. This requirement is crucial for users wishing to engage with the game and claim future rewards. By signing up and completing KYC, players strengthen the growing user community on the exchange.
“Only users from eligible regions who link their Binance account with Moonbix — the Binance Telegram mini app — and finish KYC will be entitled to any rewards,” a section of the guidelines states.
Looking forward, the Moonbix game has the potential to gain significant traction. The rising interest in the broader Play-to-Earn (P2E) and Tap-to-Earn (T2E) sectors also provides favorable conditions.

However, similar to other Telegram games, including Catizen and Hamster Kombat, Moonbix may also face challenges due to the ecosystem’s ongoing issues. Recent changes to Telegram’s policies may pose risks for its projects.
