3DOS selects Sui as its exclusive blockchain partner to enhance its global decentralized peer-to-peer manufacturing network
Sui, an innovative Layer 1 blockchain, has entered into a strategic collaboration with 3DOS™, a frontrunner in decentralized manufacturing solutions. This collaboration aims to tackle the coordination issues affecting the $15.6 trillion global manufacturing sector by integrating 3DOS’s extensive network of 3D printers, manufacturers, and clients with Sui’s advanced decentralized blockchain solutions. Sui’s groundbreaking zkLogin technology will simplify the process of onboarding new users for 3DOS by enabling millions to access the service directly with their existing social accounts like Google or Twitch.
Before partnering with Sui, the founders of 3DOS developed one of the globe’s pioneering 3D printing operating systems, achieving impressive milestones. To date, the platform boasts over 500,000 users, has produced 4.2 million parts, and has facilitated more than 15 million CAD designs in over 120 countries. Notable customers include John Deere, Google, MIT, Harvard, CalTech, UC Berkeley, Bosch, the British Army, the US Navy, the US Air Force, and NASA. These clients are currently being integrated into the network that 3DOS™ is constructing on Sui.

This new partnership enhances 3DOS by leveraging the redundancy, transparency, speed, and flexibility inherent in Sui’s top-tier decentralized technology platform.
“At 3DOS, we are committed to a decentralized manufacturing future. Collaborating with Sui to power our infrastructure equips us with the tools necessary to drive this significant transformation in our field,” stated John Dogru, Founder and CEO of 3DOS. “3DOS serves as a 3D Operating System, connecting the digital realm to the physical, enabling anyone to tap into manufacturing capabilities and 3D printers from anywhere, thus empowering local producers and reducing waste, inventory, and the carbon footprint linked to global shipping.”
The fusion of Sui and 3DOS technological advancements will empower the vast global manufacturing sector to harness localized production capabilities, addressing the inefficiencies associated with high operational costs and restricted access. The 3DOS/Sui collaboration tackles ongoing challenges and significantly broadens the world’s manufacturing potential by linking isolated 3D printing resources with substantial global demand. In doing so, the partners’ decentralized methodology will lower costs, democratize manufacturing, and unveil new economic opportunities worldwide.
“Enhancing manufacturing processes stands as one of the world’s critical challenges, and the infrastructure that 3DOS is establishing on Sui represents a remarkable leap forward, poised to stimulate economic growth and technological progress,” commented Adeniyi Abiodun, Chief Product Officer and Co-Founder of Mysten Labs, which developed the Sui Network. “Through this partnership with 3DOS, Sui is contributing to the creation of a global decentralized manufacturing network that enables more individuals and businesses to engage in producing tangible goods.”
The 3DOS platform utilizes smart contracts on Sui to eliminate typical overhead associated with balancing supply and demand, which traditionally necessitates thousands of employees across Web2 companies and financial institutions. By embedding governing protocols directly into Sui’s blockchain, 3DOS achieves nearly complete automation and unlimited scalability. This methodology optimizes resource use, enhances supply chain transparency, minimizes waste, improves cost-efficiency, ensures quality control, and fosters global collaboration—all while empowering a diverse spectrum of creators and innovators.
