  • Token2049 in Singapore witnessed more than 20,000 participants and 800 side activities
  • Following this remarkable achievement, Token2049 Dubai is set for April 2025
  • Token2049 will return to Singapore in October 2025

TOKEN2049, the largest Web3 and crypto conference globally, concluded its week-long festivities as the industry gathered in Singapore. The week peaked at the main conference held on 18-19 September at Marina Bay Sands, featuring 20,000 participants and over 800 side events in Asia’s fintech hub.

Attendees enjoyed a stellar array of speakers, including Vitalik Buterin, Co-Founder of Ethereum, Edward Snowden, notable whistleblower and privacy champion, Anatoly Yakovenko, Co-Founder of Solana, Balaji Srinivasan, and Arthur Hayes. The event also featured Formula 1 personalities like Max Verstappen and Sergio Pérez from Oracle Red Bull Racing, Lando Norris from McLaren Racing, Grammy-nominated artist Iggy Azalea, and Bryan Johnson, a visionary entrepreneur focused on longevity.

The conference became a platform for numerous significant announcements and advancements in the crypto sector, along with ample networking chances. Highlights included TOKEN2049’s inaugural NEXUS startup competition, where 10 finalists competed to impress top venture capitalists and potentially become the next crypto unicorn. Participants were also introduced to venture capitalist Balaji Srinivasan’s new Network School, Solana’s innovative ‘Seeker’ crypto phone, and BitGo’s upcoming stablecoin. Attendees at Vitalik Buterin’s speech enjoyed a memorable moment when he paid homage to songs associated with his previous crypto ventures.

Regarding TOKEN2049’s monumental success, Alex Fiskum, Co-Founder of TOKEN2049 stated, “TOKEN2049 Singapore attracted a record 20,000 visitors, with over 80% being international attendees, demonstrating the event’s global impact. With more than 400 exhibitors and 800 side events, the energy and collaboration were beyond all expectations. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, and I’m incredibly thankful to our team for making this possible. Looking ahead to TOKEN2049 Dubai next April, we’re eager to build on this momentum and provide an even more immersive experience for the crypto community.”

The festivities continued at the sought-after AFTER 2049, the official afterparty for TOKEN2049, held at the renowned Marina Bay Sands’ SkyPark Observation Deck. Guests enjoyed breathtaking views of the Formula 1 evening session from the 57th floor while celebrating the Singapore debut performances of headliner DJs WhoMadeWho and Da Capo. Enhancing the atmosphere was Polygon Production’s groundbreaking 360° sound system—making its first appearance in Singapore—captivating attendees with an immersive audio experience.

Following the triumphant TOKEN2049 Singapore, the event is now gearing up for Dubai. Scheduled at the luxurious Madinat Jumeirah resort from 30 April to 1 May 2025, the conference promises an even more engaging experience for all participants.

TOKEN2049 will once again return to Singapore on 1-2 October 2025, upholding its status as a key event in the global Web3 calendar.
