Ava Protocol, the event-driven EigenLayer Active Validated Service (AVS), has partnered with Sony Block Solutions Labs to assist developers and creators on Sony’s public Ethereum Layer-2 (L2) blockchain, aiming to enhance user experience and unlock new possibilities through automation on Soneium.
Automation Introduced on Sony’s Ethereum L2 Blockchain
Ava Protocol and Soneium have announced their collaboration to infuse automation into Sony’s new Ethereum L2 blockchain. This partnership is designed to “simplify blockchain” for Soneium developers and non-technical users by executing transactions and smart contracts based on set conditions.
The EigenLayer AVS delivers Web3 infrastructure that supports cross-chain automation, enabling composable autonomous transactions and allowing developers to quickly deploy dApps.
Part of the Soneium Spark incubation program, Ava Protocol’s infrastructure aims to provide participants with an efficient and trustless way to automate their projects, facilitating access to privacy, composability, and reduced transaction costs.
This collaboration will empower creators to tokenize Real-World Assets (RWA) and enable fractional ownership alongside innovative distribution methods, allowing creators and developers on Sony’s Ethereum L2 blockchain to monetize their work using intent-driven, no-code automation.
As the first automation provider on Soneium, Ava Protocol aims to create opportunities for monetizing art, intellectual property, and physical goods. Furthermore, it will facilitate recurring payments, stop-loss orders, yield harvesting, and dynamic NFT updates and minting.
Web3 Industry Undergoing a ‘Significant Transformation’
Ava Protocol’s Head of Marketing, Sam Shev, emphasized the partnership’s goal to enhance creators’ capabilities by lowering the barriers to Web3:
Soneium is nurturing an open internet that transcends boundaries and unites creators from diverse backgrounds. Ava Protocol’s robust automation tools will streamline processes and lower entry barriers, allowing creators to concentrate on their strengths – creating. We envision Soneium evolving into a major hub for creativity, collaboration, and innovation, empowering individuals and communities to reshape the world through human creativity.
Meanwhile, Chris Li, the founder of Ava Protocol, stressed the project’s mission to simplify access to the Web3 space with user-friendly tools and solutions:
Ava Protocol is thrilled to collaborate with Soneium as the Web3 ecosystem strives to be more inclusive. Our technology equips creators and developers with the necessary tools to truly empower them regarding their assets. Ava Protocol’s seamless automation reduces complexity, allowing for unfettered innovation. With this partnership, we are making significant strides toward our goal of being the leading solution for smart contract automation on Soneium.
According to Bitcoinist, Sony’s public Ethereum L2 blockchain is part of the company’s “strategic expansion” into the blockchain space, aiming to drive mainstream adoption of Web3 technologies by leveraging its extensive distribution network across various industries.
Designed to be a flexible, general-purpose blockchain, Soneium intends to integrate Web3 into everyday applications and address diverse needs across global industries and user bases. It also aims to foster a “robust, developer-friendly environment” that champions innovation, community engagement, and supports both creators and developers.
Sota Watanabe, Director of Sony Block Solutions Labs, highlighted the “significant transformation” in the Web3 industry, noting that its pivotal moment will be “whether we, as companies in the Web3 space, can truly deliver solutions that billions of people incorporate into their daily lives and achieve mainstream acceptance of Web3 in the coming years.”
