We’re excited to announce improvements to our Wallet API – introducing the all-new DeFi Positions feature!
Unveiling Our DeFi Positions Feature
At Moralis, we recognize the challenges that come with monitoring a wallet’s DeFi positions. Many Web3 projects require in-depth insights into the assets and exposure associated with a wallet across various DeFi protocols. Previously, developers needed to compile data from multiple sources to grasp a wallet’s DeFi activities.
The Challenge
Wallet holders often allocate a substantial part of their portfolios in DeFi protocols to generate yield. We understand the complexities of obtaining a clear view of these positions, which can result in users lacking crucial information regarding the value and earnings of their staked assets.
Our Solution
In response to this challenge, we created our new DeFi Positions feature. This enhancement to our Wallet API offers extensive insights into a wallet’s DeFi activities, such as interactions with protocols, the amount of assets staked, and information on unclaimed rewards. To transform how wallets’ DeFi positions are tracked, we are introducing three new endpoints:
New Endpoints
- Summary DeFi Protocols by Wallet: Obtain a summary of all protocols a wallet interacts with, including total USD value held and unclaimed rewards.
- Summary DeFi Positions by Wallet: Get a standardized overview of all protocol positions for a wallet.
- Detailed DeFi Positions by Wallet and Protocol: Access comprehensive information on positions for a specific wallet and protocol.
Supported Protocols and Chains
We are initially supporting 13 essential protocols, including Uniswap, Aave, Lido, and Maker, with plans to expand this list. The initial chain support includes Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, BSC, Ethereum, Linea, Optimism, and Polygon.
Benefits and Use Cases
- Improved Portfolio Management: Wallet developers can now provide enhanced portfolio management features, driving user engagement.
- Rich Insights: Portfolio trackers can offer deeper insights into users’ DeFi positions.
- Reliable Tax Reporting: Crypto tax firms can improve their reporting accuracy using DeFi position data.
- Data-Driven Investment Choices: DeFi-focused investment firms and analysts can make more informed decisions based on detailed position data.
