Following a recent trend of rising meme coins, Cat in a Dogs World (MEW) enjoyed a remarkable increase, peaking at $0.01136, which represents its all-time high. The token noted a 24-hour trading volume exceeding $474 million, marking a 177% rise at the time of this report.
At the same time, MEW’s price hovered around $0.01114, with buyers increasing by 26% over the past 24 hours, elevating the meme coin’s market capitalization to over $990 million. As per data from crypto.news, Cat in a Dogs World is currently the 83rd largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization.
In the realm of meme coins, MEW secured the 10th position overall, outpacing competitors like Mog Coin (MOG) and the day’s top-performing meme coin, Goatseus Maximus (GOAT).
Bitstamp Adds MEW Token
On October 24, cryptocurrency exchange Bitstamp announced the introduction of trading support for MEW, alongside the WOO Network (WOO) token. Bitstamp has made available the MEW/USD and MEW/EUR trading pairs for users worldwide.
Additionally, the Solana (SOL)-based decentralized on-chain perpetual swap platform Drift Protocol has introduced support for MEW perpetual futures, allowing traders to utilize leverage of up to 4x. This development followed the launch of MEW perpetual contracts on Kwenta and Synthetix on the layer-2 chain Base, which debuted on October 22.
The combination of rising meme coins and a series of new listings is what has propelled the cat-themed token to a new all-time high.
According to data from Coinglass, the open interest for futures contracts related to Cat in a Dogs World has surged by 59%, now exceeding $211 million. The optimistic outlook for this meme coin has also resulted in MEW liquidations surpassing $2.47 million in the last 24 hours, with the majority being short liquidations amounting to $1.79 million.
