Devcon 7 is set to take place in 2024, and although the exact location is yet to be announced, one thing is clear: Devcon is coming to Southeast Asia! 
We are eagerly anticipating the start of our journey to Devcon 7 in Southeast Asia and are excited to see the Ethereum communities in SEA becoming more vibrant since our announcement. It’s fantastic to witness engagement from communities in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, and Vietnam.
Today, we present the Road to Devcon (RTD) Grants round to bolster the emergence of new Ethereum events, grassroots communities, and educational projects throughout this dynamic region.
If you are situated in Southeast Asia and are passionate about fostering communities, developing educational programs, and enhancing your region with Ethereum’s opportunities, we invite you to apply for funding on the Road to Devcon. The maximum grant amount is $1,000, and we encourage applications for smaller gatherings rather than larger events.
Communities Forge the Path 
The Road to Devcon is more than a figurative journey; it’s a network of connections and milestones that unite people and link the Ethereum community with specific regions around the globe. In the previous RTD, the route to Bogotá was shaped by the remarkable initiatives of a Latin American community that collaborated to host numerous events across the region. These initiatives led to ETH Latam, a one-day conference in the local language, as well as the Chiva Bus, a vibrant stage at Devcon VI.
Throughout this journey, we identified new leaders and guiding lights for the community—each one playing a vital role in the growth and resilience of the Ethereum ecosystem. These individuals inject their energy and culture into the Ethereum community.
We are confident that the Road to Devcon Grants initiative can enhance accessibility and opportunities for individuals to learn, connect, and contribute to the Ethereum ecosystem. Through the RTD Grants, our goal is to establish an environment that promotes the vitality and growth of the Ethereum community throughout SEA.
