Hamster Kombat, a leading play-to-earn non-fungible token game, has revamped its token distribution portal in preparation for the highly anticipated $HMSTR airdrop set for September 26, 2024. The popular NFT game has faced significant backlash from the community across social media, with many crypto enthusiasts expressing dissatisfaction over an extremely inequitable token distribution.
Hamster Kombat to Launch Token Airdrop Next Week
Hamster Kombat is the latest trend in Telegram-based gaming, reigniting the thrill of the highly popular Notcoin clicker game, which captivated over 300 million players within five months of launching in March 2024. This viral Telegram-based NFT game allows players to mine Hamster coins “$HMSTR” by overseeing a virtual cryptocurrency exchange.
In Hamster Kombat, players take on the role of the hamster’s chief executive officer, striving to enhance the startup’s health and propel it to the forefront of the industry. They make investments in marketing, licenses, talent, new product developments, and more to reach their goals. The game combines entertainment and strategy, allowing crypto enthusiasts to earn $HMSTR coins by engaging in battles.
Every hamster token in the game is a non-fungible token that can be traded on the marketplace. Players can earn up to five million in-game NFT coins by investing in specific upgrades each day. The development team recently announced a token launch and an airdrop on The Open Network (TON), generating additional excitement and potential benefits for participants.
On August 28, 2024, the Hamster Kombat team announced the date for the token generation event (TGE) and the airdrop for September 26, 2024. At that time, the team disclosed that 60% of the token’s total supply would be allocated through airdrops to players. A representative for Hamster Kombat stated that the upcoming HMSTR airdrop is expected to be the largest in the history of cryptocurrency.
Hamster Kombat Faces Significant Criticism
Hamster Kombat has come under intense scrutiny from its player base, with numerous crypto gamers on X expressing concern over the perceived unfairness of the token distribution. Regrettably, many players are slated to receive only 100 $HMSTR, 300 $HMSTR, and 5000 $HMSTR. Additionally, 12% of the tokens will be locked—a detail the Hamster Kombat team failed to communicate earlier.

Additionally, 63% of all users have been labeled ‘INELIGIBLE’ and categorized as ‘CHEATING’, despite many being legitimate players. Furthermore, Hamster Kombat players on X have accused the team of banning real users while allocating significant airdrop amounts to influencers. Should these allegations be validated, Hamster Kombat could face the backlash of the crypto community in its season 2.
I wasted my time working hard on #HamsterKombat for 4 months. #Hamster did not treat its users fairly😞
