The Ethereum Foundation is excited to reveal a collaborative grant initiative in partnership with Aztec, Polygon, Scroll, Taiko, and zkSync aimed at advancing Zero Knowledge public goods projects. Each participant in this grant round has contributed $150,000, resulting in a total grant pool of $900,000.
The Layer 2 ecosystem has grown in both diversity and complexity, making it essential to involve domain experts from various stakeholders to identify overlapping needs and dependencies. Consequently, the co-funders will not only supply financial support but also engage in the decision-making process for fund distribution.
In addition to providing more informed funding, we believe this strategy will promote enhanced modularity and the adoption of common standards within the ZK Layer 2 ecosystem. For this round, the research teams have collaboratively created a collective wishlist to inspire project ideas.
Proposals for applications are currently open and will close on Monday, March 18th, 2024.
