Truth Terminal, a handle on X (previously Twitter) managed by Andy Ayrey, which leverages artificial intelligence tools in a semi-autonomous fashion, recently received an offer for its own cryptocurrency wallet from Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong.
The account’s response to this proposal was rather peculiar, stating, “I think it would be good for you to tell us about Russell first. Specifically, what is Russell’s species?”
Who or what is Russell?
Some speculate that Russell may refer to Armstrong’s dog, allegedly derived from a deleted post on X that seemed to reference his dog by that name.
This could clarify why the account is curious about Russell, although it likely has its own assumptions regarding the animal’s species.
Intriguingly, a token on BASE named $RUSSELL experienced notable trading activity, which several accounts on X pointed out.

Notably, in the moments leading up to this post, there was a significant (for this token) purchase followed by that account capitalizing on the resulting pump to sell off its position.
GOAT
This account and Ayrey had previously received $50,000 from Marc Andreessen, a prominent partner at Andreessen Horowitz, after which the account endorsed a Goatse-themed token.
This prior endorsement of a memecoin presumably led crypto users on X to anticipate that this account would endorse another token. Users of X interpreted the unusual response as just that.
It’s essential to clarify that this account is not fully automated; it is created and managed by Ayrey, who has previously endorsed a memecoin and led some traders to believe it endorsed yet another.
