Here are the latest updates in the DePin space: Chirp marked two years of operation and will launch its game next week; MapMetrics has introduced quality-of-life enhancements for its navigation application; and Privasea is holding a node sale in partnership with CVPad.

Chirp Marks Two Years

Chirp, the DePin network and IoT ecosystem, celebrated its second anniversary on October 18. The company’s announcement reflected on 2022 and 2023 as foundational years: establishing frameworks, fostering partnerships, and initiating the growth of its emerging network. However, 2024 is outlined as a year of launches, such as the upcoming airdrop in anticipation of their CHIRP token release:

“As we commemorate Chirp’s anniversary and look to the medium and long-term, we are returning to our core mission: to develop the most innovative IoT solutions within an inclusive decentralized ecosystem. Our aim is to continually strengthen the Chirp network, ensuring that the CHIRP token is well-integrated with our IoT solutions,” the announcement expressed.

The statement further inquired, “what’s a birthday without gifts?”. The gift in question is Chirp’s much-anticipated P2E DePin mobile game, set to launch next week, allowing users to earn CHIRP tokens immediately. The company also shared an in-game screenshot as a teaser of its gameplay.

MapMetrics’ Significant Enhancements

MapMetrics, a “drive-to-earn” navigation application and GameFi token earner, has significantly upgraded various aspects of its services. In an announcement for both Android and iOS users, MapMetrics introduced several quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes concerning its navigation functions, including search filtering by city, new GPS features, and visibility adjustments for nighttime driving.

Specifically, MapMetrics’ updates targeted the app’s navigation functionalities rather than its token-earning platform. The company aims to maintain MapMetrics as a “top-tier navigation tool,” enhancing user attraction and retention within its GameFi aspects. Moreover, it will continue to focus on providing “a stable and refined experience” in future releases.

Privasea’s Node Sale Announcement

Privasea, an AI and DePin network, has also revealed another node sale through project launcher CVPad. This is among several node sales conducted by Privasea this year, with the previous one in August selling out within 48 hours. The upcoming sale will incorporate an airdrop feature, meaning only those who purchase nodes will qualify for an upcoming token airdrop.

Privasea is dedicated to combating fraud and ensuring privacy in AI processes. Backed by a notable list of investors and $10 million in funding, the company’s ImHuman application utilizes its “Proof of Human” technology to validate user identities. Whitelisting for this node sale commenced on October 15 and will remain open until October 28.
