Dubai, United Arab Emirates, October 1st, 2024, Chainwire
Bybit, the second-largest cryptocurrency exchange globally by trading volume, is thrilled to announce the World Series of Trading (WSOT) 2024, renowned as the longest-running crypto trading competition in the world. This year, WSOT is set to break new ground, melding centralized and decentralized trading to provide participants with a glimpse of the trustless trading future.
Innovative Features That Traders Will Appreciate
Individual traders can compete in three categories based on their capital: lightweight, middleweight, and heavyweight. With distinct prize pools for each category, the competition is designed to be more equitable, ensuring that skill triumphs over account size.
Additionally, traders can create up to four subaccounts within their Unified Trading Account (UTA) to accumulate PnL across various accounts and markets, thereby enhancing their chances to win. Bybit’s UTA effectively manages margin across positions, consolidates collateral, and boosts capital efficiency, allowing traders to handle multiple positions from a single account, making it an exceptional tool for the demands of competitive trading.
Venturing into Decentralized and Centralized Trading
WSOT also features Bybit Web3’s DEX Pro trading platform, enabling participants to trade over 1 million decentralized tokens, including memecoins, DeFi, GameFi, and much more. Traders can also take part in the inaugural Web3 Idol competition.
To participate, traders earn votes by trading and fulfilling daily tasks. Voters can support up to three projects each day, with the chance to win from a 1,000,000 MNT prize pool, featuring a 600,000 MNT grand prize for those voting for the winning project, along with 200,000 MNT in daily rewards. The project that wins will enjoy exclusive support from the CEO, premium listing, and marketing assistance, marking a pivotal event in the evolution of Web3.
More than 100 ecosystem partners and decentralized projects such as MomoAi and Tars Protocol from Solana, along with Catizen and KTX Finance via Mantle, will join the DEX Pro competition as part of WSOT. By integrating both centralized (CEX) and decentralized (DEX) trading, all crypto enthusiasts can immerse themselves in the entire ecosystem’s wave.
“Bybit’s goal is to establish industry-leading practices for onboarding users across both CEX and DEX, fostering a wider environment for crypto adoption,” remarked Ben Zhou, co-founder and CEO. “By merging these two facets, we are empowering smaller projects and specialized traders to ascend the ranks of competition.”
10,000,000 Prize Pool and Participation Information
The prize pool for WSOT 2024 has expanded significantly, offering rewards ranging from yacht cruises and Rolex watches to world travel tickets and up to 10,000,000 USDT. The more participants engage, the larger the prize pool becomes, rendering this year’s competition the most enticing in crypto history.
To get involved, simply register for WSOT when the event commences on October 1 and maintain a minimum balance of $500 in your Bybit UTA account. All participants can invite friends to join WSOT to increase their chances in the lucky draw.
Over the years, Bybit’s WSOT has reached remarkable heights, with nearly 117,000 traders participating between 2020 and 2022. In 2023, the competition attracted close to 120,000 traders from around the globe, resulting in a noteworthy 42% year-on-year surge in trading volume, culminating in total trading of 70.5 billion.
