The Aptos Foundation has revealed a partnership with the Ignition AI Accelerator, an initiative supported by Nvidia that aims to fast-track the development of AI-oriented startups in Asia.
This collaboration unites the Aptos Foundation with the AI Ignition Accelerator, backed by NVIDIA, Tribe, and Digital Industry Singapore, to propel the advancement of AI innovations across the Asia Pacific region.
Focusing on AI startups in APAC
As per an announcement made on X, this partnership will utilize Aptos (APT)’s blockchain technology alongside funding support.
The allocated resources will assist startups that are accepted into the accelerator program. Additionally, the Aptos Foundation plans to leverage Microsoft’s OpenAI Service to overcome challenges in the adoption process, according to the companies involved.
Ng Yi Ming, director at the Ignition AI Accelerator, emphasized that this integration will extend beyond merely advancing AI. It aims to create global synergies, merging resources and expertise to uplift entrepreneurs and teams within the ecosystem.
Expanding the Aptos blockchain ecosystem
The Aptos ecosystem accommodates a diverse array of projects, encompassing decentralized finance, gaming, tooling, stablecoins, and marketplaces. Additionally, it includes tooling for non-fungible tokens, decentralized physical infrastructure networks, bridges, and AI initiatives.
In June 2024, the entertainment behemoth NBCUniversal announced a long-term partnership with Aptos, selecting the blockchain network to enhance its gaming and fan experience projects. This followed an initial collaboration that began in September 2023.
In July 2024, the event ticketing platform KYD Labs joined forces with Le Poisson Rouge to transition the historic venue’s shows and ticketing onto the Aptos blockchain. Moreover, the platform recently collaborated with streaming service myco to introduce web3 entertainment to a broader audience.
Launched in May 2024, the Singapore-based Ignition AI Accelerator is supported by the government accelerator program Tribe and the AI chip manufacturer NVIDIA.
