The recent transfer of Bitcoin, mined merely a month after Bitcoin’s network launched, has piqued the interest of market observers.
Arkham divulged that this whale, possessing over $72.5 million in Bitcoin, executed the transfer recently. The Bitcoin now housed in Kraken’s wallet was mined in February or March of 2009, following a series of minor transactions, including a five-bitcoin transfer on September 24.
This movement comes just days after another early Bitcoin whale, who mined their Bitcoin around the same period, emerged from 15 years of inactivity to transfer $16 million worth of BTC, according to Arkham Intelligence.
